About Us

Our Parishes

Welcome to the website for the churches of Atlow, Bradley, Hognaston, Hulland and Kniveton. We are a group of five village churches whose aim is to love and serve God and our communities.

We are part of the Church of England and, more locally, the Deanery of Carsington.

We hope you enjoy exploring this site and that you find what you are looking for. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Our Mission Partners

Kevin and Michelle Shaw – Encourage International

We as a Benefice are helping to support their work to bring Christ to the people they meet on their travels.  They also teach and support leaders, using their skills and talents for the wider Church.

Michelle and Kevin are invited to minister world wide and often have difficult situations that they have to deal with and find that prayer often helps.  They are lovely people with many stories of how God is moving through their Ministry.  We are looking forward to them visiting us and sharing how our support  has helped people come to Christ.

Have a look at their letters to the right of this page as they give a flavour of the work they do.

We are looking for someone who could correspond with them and keep us all in the Benefice up to date.  It will be an easy task and a pleasure to do.  Please have a think about it.  Michelle and Kevin live in Windley so have a very short journey when they do come to visit. Please pray for them using the itinerary which is varied, packed and requires a lot of preparation before hand.
