Christ Church, Hulland

Christ Church serves Hulland Ward, Hulland Village and Biggin, together forming the largest and fastest-growing parish in the Benefice. The community combines established villages, newer housing and traditional farming areas.

Our attractive Grade II listed church was built in 1837 from locally quarried sandstone. It stands on an elevated site overlooking Hulland Ward, immediately beside the Millennium Village Hall. This close relationship gives us access to excellent facilities for fellowship, informal worship and community activities.

Christ Church is a friendly and outward-looking church seeking to share God’s love through worship, hospitality and service. Alongside our regular Holy Communion services, Café Praise offers relaxed worship around tables with conversation, music and refreshments.

Hulland Hippos toddler group welcomes around twenty families each week, while Messy Church gives children and adults an opportunity to explore faith together through creativity, celebration and hospitality.

Church members are also involved in Hulland Church of England Primary School, the Village Show, village quizzes, Christmas carol singing, welcome packs for new residents and the quarterly Hulland Herald.

Our Silver Eco Church Award reflects our commitment to caring for creation. Activities include Churchyard Champions and Hulland Hikers, through which people can enjoy the local countryside, friendship and community life.

We warmly welcome visitors, families and those exploring church for the first time.
