The Bible Course

An opportunity to remove some of the mystery surrounding this famous book and to learn more about its origins and how it can help us today

During this time of enforced isolation and separation when our regular groups such as Hulland Hippos and Messy Church are unable to meet, we thought we would offer those who come to those groups the opportunity to take part in an online study group. Here’s the blurb…

New to the Bible or want to go deeper?
The Bible Course is for you. It shows how the key books, famous characters and epic events form one BIG story, from Genesis to Revelation. The course also provides tools and skills that help apply the Bible to everyday life.

This eight-session course is ideal for groups – big and small. Each session includes video content, discussion time, personal reflection and daily readings. Explore the BIG story and discover its relevance for today.

The details:

We will run the course using Zoom for the majority of the session, but will break off twice in each session to watch the teaching videos (a link will be provided).

Tuesday evenings at 8pm (after little ones have gone to sleep – hopefully) from Tuesday 5th May.

To join the course:

Contact Rev Phil Michell to book your place.  He will send you links to the videos and the course book in pdf format.  You can order a hard copy for £4.99 + postage by clicking here.  Or you can download the pdf version here.

You will also need a Bible!  There are many different translations available.  Eden bookstore has many in stock.  Click this link to take you to their selection of ESV (English Standard Version) Bibles – the same version as used in the course.

You can try the first session with no obligation to do the rest of the course.  Try before you buy!
