The Atlow Village Hall Committee recently made a donation, in memory of Annie Hall, to The Umbrella Group – a charity which works to improve the quality of life for disabled children and young adults and their families in Derby City and Southern Derbyshire.
Mrs Hall was the former High Sheriff of Derbyshire who tragically lost her life in the floods near Matlock in November. She was very helpful and generous with the fund-raising efforts for the Village Hall refurbishment a few years ago and officially re-opened the Hall after all the work had been done.
When the Umbrella Group wrote to thank the Committee for the donation, they sent some details of a scheme where the charity can benefit from any holiday booked with Riviera Travel. They asked for help in promulgating this scheme.
