Each year I choose an Advent book to read daily up to Christmas. This year I have chosen a book that is based on the poems of George Herbert entitled Wounded I Sing. George Herbert, apart from being a poet, was a country vicar in the 17th century.
Actually this is not really my thing, poetry that is, but its good to sometimes go out of ones comfort zone and try something new and different, it can help us grow, think in different ways and just may be teach us something new. Well that’s my hope. Why don’t you think of reading an Advent book this Advent with a short daily reading for each day, you could perhaps do it alongside eating the chocolate from the Calendar! Food for your body and food for your Soul.
This book may not be to your taste but there are plenty available and after Christmas well you could share about your book.
